frontal lighting and fill

The frontal lighting illuminates the subjects and draws on her facial expression,

The key light and fill get rid of the shadows, letting more of the face be seen.

Bottom up light only creates a eerie atmosphere, I think this effect should be used in our thriller film.  Top light only highlights the face and creates a focus on the expression and facial features rather than the background.

Backlight makes the subject seem important, it could be used in religious context.
