Law Abiding Citizen
The sequence begins with a black screen with thin and slightly cracked white writing, which fades in and out, in the middle of the screen. Only the company producers’ names are shown.
After this some of the story is revealed for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The title then appears on a fade to black screen with the same white writing they used for the producers, in the middle of the screen. It is clear and underlined, however, the cracked effect on the font perhaps shows that there is a twist to the title.
Taken
This sequence begins with the production names, and then goes into the film which has an introduction of a family tape. This lasts for 2 minutes and 15 seconds until names appear from left to right of the screen, over moving image. The names fade as the shots change. The writing is in capitals and is white, and clear.
The title then appears in larger writing over moving image, next to a photo of a young girl. This title suggests that the girl in the photo is going to be taken away/ kidnapped.
